The Deluxe Collection
Some folks have asked about the original products available for sale from late 2014 to mid-2016. The “deluxe collection” was composed of three items. You can see the item in the picture to the right, and clicking on the picture will enlarge it.
Sample Sizes
There were two alternatives for “samples” — a) foilpaks containing enough for one or two uses of shampoo and conditioner only, and b) “salon testers”.

Foilpaks were easy to carry and use, but they have some limitations. First, and most importantly, they didn’t provide the experience of using the Primer Mist. It turns out that best results from using Illumai is to use it as a three part SYSTEM. The shampoo cleanses beautifully. The conditioner begins to nurture/repair any scalp or hair issues and provides some detangling. But it’s the Primer Mist that really completes the detangling and protection … as well as giving the hair a wonderfully soft and shiny result. Foilpaks simply don’t give the full experience. They also only give one or two uses and don’t deliver the “luxury” experience that many people report.

In the summer of 2014, before the black bottles were produced, we created some “salon testers” to give out as samples to salons that were evaluating our product. We also use these testers for training sessions. It has the same formulation as is in the black bottles; it’s only the packaging that is different.
