LOT of Coco Joe’s and Hip Original “Lava” (black resin) Vintage Hawaiiana – $100
Believe it or not, I had even more of these pieces a few years back and now it’s time to part with my favorites. There’s a lot to look at here, including:
- 3 large hula dancer statue sets (the Tahitian Dancers set looks best placed high on a shelf; also note that one of the two hula dancers in the all-female set retains her “Laka” label);
- 2 decorative containers (probably meant for use as ashtrays but never used that way);
- 1 pen holder/display;
- a set of Pineapple bookends;
- a souvenir napkin holder;
- small Hawaiian warrior wall accent;
- 6 keychains; and
- 3 tiki necklaces + 3 small tikis.
This is perfect for someone who loves Hawaii as much as I do (or maybe an ebay/etsy seller — I note that a similar Tahitian Dancer Set alone sold for $38 on ebay in September of this year.)

Handpainted Tropical Paintings
Framed Tropical Set #1 – $50 for the pair.
Vintage pair originally purchased on ebay. Each measures 15” x 19”.
Framed Tropical Set #2 – $40 for 3 pieces
This is another vintage set originally purchased on ebay. Two of the pieces measure approximately 12-3/4” X 7” and the third piece is approximately 11” x 9”; all are equipped with hangers on the back.
Tapa Cloth – $95
This authentic piece of tapa cloth was purchased on ebay about 20 years ago and measures approximately 62” x 15-1/2” – the perfect size to put under glass and easily “tiki-fy” something like a desk or bar.
The piece is in excellent condition, and any “imperfections” are likely attributable to the original creator.
Dietrich Varez Block Print – $15
This signed (“D. Varez ‘98”) print from revered Hawaii artist Dietrich Varez measures 12” x 9” and is titled Hula Kane (male hula dancer). It’s in excellent condition. Spoon rest and keychains sold separately. 🙂

Olelo No’eau : Hawaiian Proverbs & Poetical Sayings Book – $40
This wonderful book full of Hawaiian lyrical wisdom was compiled by Mary and is interspersed with gorgeous illustrations by revered Hawaiian artist, Dietrich Varez.
Amazon’s least expensive used copy of this inspiring and entertaining book of Hawaiian is presently priced at $45, and you can take this book home this afternoon for $40. (After you’re finished enjoying it, you can list it on Amazon and make a few bucks, but my guess is that you’ll want to keep it for several years.)
The dust jacket is missing, but otherwise the book is in excellent condition.
Why don’t I just list it on Amazon myself? I’m moving, it’s a big book and needs to go. My loss is your gain. Come and get it!

Handmade Hawaiian Quilt – $395 obo
Queen Size, measures 77-1/2” X 93” – Design = Ulu (breadfruit)
I bought this on ebay several years ago from a woman who had purchased it at a Kauai fundraiser. I’ve only used it as décor – I displayed it on a wall for a while and then later left it folded at the end of a bed – so it’s in truly pristine condition.
This is a fantastic price for handwork of this caliber, and the colors are vibrant and contemporary. Don’t miss it!
